Vovinam Martial Arts is new sport in Pakistan, under The supervision Pakistan of Prisedent Pakistan Vovinam Federation Nadeem Qaisar and Secratry General Pakistan Vovinam Federation Shafiq Ur Rehman Khattana, First time in Pakistan Vovinam Demonstration was Shown in 72th Punjab Games 2019 Lahore, Around 100 Players and 10 Coaches of Vovinam were Participated in that event, it was the First Vovinam event in Pakistan.
72th Punjab Games were organized by Sports Board Punjab and Punjab Olympic Association at various venues in Lahore from April 3 to 6, 2019. Around 3000 male and female players and technical officials take part in 30 games and 158 sports competitions held at around 20 venues during the 4-day Games
Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar was chief guest and Punjab Sports Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar and Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Nadeem Mahboob were guest of honor at opening ceremony
At the opening ceremony, the marching athletes received huge applause from the crowd. The events of Aerobics, Gymnastics, Vovinam, Wushu, Sufi dance were displayed. Furthermore, a Turkish band and singer Saher Ali Bagga also entertained the crowd with national songs during the ceremony.
